As 2009 is already underway, God's Word gives us confidence in knowing where we stand before Him and strength as we continue to tackle daily responsibilities and solve unforeseen challenges in our lives. The economy, jobs, school, family, war, health...whatever our concerns may be, we can stand confident that God is in control.

 

Jesus Christ solved our biggest problem: our sin and rebellion against Him. He took upon Himself the punishment of Hell for His people.

     "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." Hebrews 9:28

 

As His sheep, we can "come boldly unto the throne of grace..." (Hebrews 4:16) "...that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." It is a happy, new year because we not only stand confidently, but walk under His direction.
